I was going through some of the images on my hard drive and found this one from earlier in the year. It ran in the SCBWI bulletin awhile back.
Red leaves! And the sheet music I had forgotten about - John Thompson piano books anybody? I think I saw that they've redesigned these without the delightful old pen and ink drawings. They might be old school, but I really enjoyed this series. That Spinning Song" was a great one to pound away on, trying to see just how fast you could play it...
*Tara Hogan's illustrations - I saw these the other week at Nahcotta. I love the use of paper and type.

Hi Abigail, in this drawing I really like how you balance graphic sensibility and a tonal drawing. That's something I'm always trying to achieve.
