Makes me smile! Very pretty.
very sweet - you've definitely got that 70's colour scheme going.
This is so sweet and it's got that retro feel!
I think this is my favorite colouring job you've done so far, I like how it works with the line as two elements working together. I like the saturation of the colour more too, it suits your style very well, bolder, less monochrome. Lovely piece.
Ha... the Partridge Family. Are they still airing those shows? I hate to admit this because it reveals my age, and interest at the time in their music - but I actually purchased some of those Partridge Family 45s back in the early 1970s. I've since sold some if not all of them at a yard sale a couple years ago. Remember that bus?
A lovely piece, and I like the retro treatment (have you seen the retrokid flickr group...google it for inspiration sometime)... Your colour palette and design are really strong and confident, great work. PS ta for visiting, glad you enjoyed the parrots :)
Thanks :-DAnd I'm not sure if they're airing reruns of the Partridge Family or not... I remember watching that on TV Land or something as a kid. I think the Partridge Family totally beat out the Brady Bunch. I mean, they had a BAND!
