Kick, Twirl, Leap

How's your weekend been? Mine was swell and included apple picking and a palm sander. So since it's too rainy to do any more furniture work outdoors, I'm going to curl up with a book and some mulled cider.

And I don't think it gets any better than that.

The B-Side

Here's to a week of inkjet fabric transfers, farm-stand peaches and $1 pads of tracing paper.

The Printed Word

In the October issue of The Artist's Magazine there's a great article about Artist Trading Cards/ACEO. I'm thrilled to have one of my ACEO included in the article! I found some copies at the bookstore this weekend, so keep an eye out at your local newsstands.

Autumn Winds

September: I am enjoying renegade red leaves, crisp cool evenings, sitting outside near the fire reading until the light dies and the sudden need for a cardigan in the early morning hours.

Huzzah for Labor Day parties! We had corn on the cob and ribs, sangria and s'mores and I brought cake. Thank goodness for super sticky icing and its mortar-like properties. The blackberries I picked this weekend; it sounds much more romantic than it really is. Swatting mosquitoes for 20 minutes and avoiding prickers is miserable, but the end result is definitely worthwhile.
