Sketchbooks, Redux

I promised my niece I'd make her some sketchbooks. That was back in April, now it's June and yes, I feel appropriate levels of guilt.

They're super easy; couple pages of white paper inside, construction paper covers on the outside. I ran the spines through the sewing machine to keep everything secure.

Better late than never!

"Drinking Roses from the Can"

Time is flying. Correction, it is warp speed-ing ahead. I've been busy with projects, design stuff, other necessary evils, etc., etc., so sorry about the sporadic blogging.

But I did fit in some sketching the other day, inspired by the "Mysterious Production of Eggs." Darn, I love that album...

And speaking of things I love, "Robot Dreams" is topping the list at the moment, as is Spumoni ice cream. Spumoni, where have you been all my life?

Presenting...

In a bookstore near you, covers I illustrated for "Emma Jean Lazarus Fell out of a Tree" and "Emma Jean Lazarus Fell in Love." I had a great time working on these and they're such fun books, so go snag a copy!
