I really want to join a roller derby league. But at 115 pounds soaking wet, this is probably a really bad idea.

So I'll content myself with sketching jammers and blockers instead.

Done (right under the wire)! Here's something for this week's Illustration Friday, "Cultivate." And I have to say, as someone who can kill a houseplant in under sixty seconds, this theme was a bit of a challenge.

A quick sketch break today, an homage to the most awkward of ages. Pencil, watercolor, colored pencil and photoshop.

Also, if you ever want a good laugh, I highly recommend reading your teenage diaries. You'll laugh. You'll cry. And you will cringe.

All this snow melting means I have Spring and all things green on the brain.

Channel Surfing

Drawn while watching television the other night. It's a reminder that I really need to get back into more life drawing.

It's a bird, It's a plane...

I visited my sister in California this past weekend -- yay for last-minute über-cheap tickets! The trip was the perfect antidote to a very snowy winter. And yup, I took my sketchbook with me (see above). A girl's got to have something to do on a five and a half hour flight.

Anyhow, we had a great time and managed to fit in a ton, including a trip to the Getty (amazing) and the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust (moving).

Also West Coast, you win the burger wars. I am in serious like with you, In-N-Out.
