For reals

I'm in the middle of sketches for an upcoming project. And packing to move. So between those two things, it'd be safe to say it's a little busy 'round these here parts. But until things quiet down a bit, I thought I'd leave you with a really happy robot. Really.

The Grand Plan to Fix Everything

Today's the release day for "The Grand Plan to Fix Everything," by Uma Krishnaswami with interior and cover art by yours truly! If you're a fan of madcap adventure, Bollywood stars and (most importantly) friendship, then I recommend picking yourself up a copy.

And if you're interested in the illustration process behind the book, there's an interview and giveaway over on Got Story. You even get to read about my sadly squashed roller derby dreams.

*5/26 Edit: If you're interested in even more "The Grand Plan to Fix Everything," there's a blog tour going on and you can see the schedule over here."*

House

Some sketching while watching the cranky antics of a certain Gregory House MD. And is it just me, or does anyone else want to yell, "Oh captain, my captain!" whenever Wilson shows up?

A Happy Redundancy

Some experimenting with watercolor pencils today. And Photoshop. Can't forget the magic of CTL + Z.

The Cupcake Diaries

Aaaaand, it's release day for "Katie and the Cupcake Cure" and "Mia in the Mix," covers I illustrated for a new series, The Cupcake Diaries, published by the nice folks at Simon & Schuster.

Me, I'm celebrating with cupcakes from this fine establishment. Because people, until you've had a Mountain Dew inspired cupcake, you haven't lived.
