Action!

Sketch from Abigail Halpin on Vimeo.
It turns out my little point and shoot camera has a video function. While it's not the greatest quality (what I really wanted to try was stop motion animation), it's been fun to play with nonetheless. Anyhow, this is what four minutes and a jimmy-rigged tripod gets you. I tried to speed the video up slightly, but IMovie '08 is sort of annoying and won't let you do stuff like that. Bah.

Sizzle

If the temperature doesn't drop real soon, I'm marching down to Walmart to buy myself a kiddie pool, honest to blog.

In short, stay cool this weekend East Coast-ers (both metaphorically and literally).

The Lady Doth Protest Too Much

Five to ten minutes scribbling mindlessly in the margins never fails to recharge the creative batteries.

Also, if you're particularly eagle eyed, I was working out percentages and size increases near the top. This, in turn, makes me wish time travel were possible, so I could go back and tell 12-year-old Abbie, "Yes, you will use Algebra in real life. You will not like it. But you will use it."

Momentarily

Oh, girls with intricate hairstyles and avian companions. I will never grow tired of drawing you. Ever.

And other things I am not bound to grow tired of any time soon: these chocolate bars (THANKS MOM!!!) and new episodes of "Poirot" (which you can watch online). Both things are rocking my universe at the present.

Juillet!

A quick character sketch to finish up a Wednesday that feels like a Tuesday that feels like a thousand degrees Fahrenheit.
