The Dwindling Days

I'm going full steam ahead on interior illustrations for a book project right now, so not a whole lot of the illustrated variety to share.

But, in other news:

*I made out like a bandit at the library book sale again this year. The discovery of Space Cat Meets Mars left me so giddy I almost needed to breathe into a paper bag. Finding The Fairy Doll by Rumer Godden was also a pleasant surprise. I loved In This House of Brede and saw Black Narcissus a year or two ago, but had no idea Godden wrote children's books as well.

*I like November for a number of reasons, but topping the list is the way the houses glow from the outside.

*The last of the leaves are gone, but they were fun while they lasted. See also, chrysanthemums, apples and not needing to scrape ice off of the windshield.

*I'm (inexplicably) subjecting myself to NaNoWriMo again this year. My username over there is, "heyabigail."

*You can now find one of the puzzles I illustrated over on the Land of Nod's website.

*And in closing, the original "Dark Shadows" is streaming on Netflix and I am officially obsessed with baking donuts.
